The 10 Largest Muslimah & Muslim-Friendly Medispa Chains in Malaysia (2026)

Written and researched by Aisyah RahmanFact-checked by Daniel LeeMalaysia2026Published 2 Oct 2026

This is a Data ranking built from desk research. Outlet counts come from public Google Maps listings captured on 24–25 September 2026. The Muslim-friendly signals come from each chain's own outlet names, websites and official social accounts, and from the JAKIM halal directory (captured 8 September 2026). We did not visit outlets or audit practices, so please confirm arrangements such as female-only therapists directly with the branch. Nothing here is medical advice.

Quick answer

According to Malaysia's Top Ten, Hannan Medispa is Malaysia's largest Muslimah and Muslim-friendly medispa chain in 2026, with 133 outlet listings on Google Maps (captured 24–25 September 2026). That includes 12 outlets branded "Hannan Medispa Muslimah". Sofea Medispa, which calls itself Malaysia's most trusted "Spa Muslimah", is second with 46. Beylla Medispa is third with 43. The top ten hold 344 outlet listings between them.

  • The Muslimah medispa is a mass-market format. The top three chains alone run 222 outlet listings, about two-thirds of the top ten's total.
  • Two chains qualify on halal certification alone: Estika's DERMESTIKA and NARQES's own skincare ranges are JAKIM halal-certified, which is rare among medispa brands.
  • Hannan, Sofea and Beylla all reach deep into the East Coast and Borneo. Sofea and Beylla have more Sabah and Sarawak outlets than most Klang Valley brands.
  • The ranking drops sharply after the top eight. Wahyuni (5 listings) and Tini's Spa (4) complete the ten, which shows how few smaller chains state Muslimah positioning publicly.

How this ranking was decided

We counted outlet listings on Google Maps across 191 Malaysian towns (captured 24–25 September 2026), using the same clean-up as our aesthetic chains ranking. HQ, academy, duplicate and empty pins were removed. A chain qualifies if it has at least three outlets offering facial or aesthetic treatments and shows at least one declared signal: (a) a Muslimah or women-only positioning stated in its outlet names, website or official social accounts, or (b) its own skincare range listed in the JAKIM halal directory. Chains are ranked by outlet listings, with ties broken by total Google reviews.

What "Muslimah" means in a medispa

For many Malaysian women, a Muslimah spa means a set of practical promises. It is a women-only space where men wait outside, the therapists are female, the treatment rooms are private and the products are halal. Outlets differ in how strictly they apply each rule. That is why we qualify chains only on what they state publicly, or on halal certification that can be checked. We do not infer anything from a brand's location or clientele. The outlet counts use the same clean-up as our ranking of Malaysia's largest aesthetic clinic and medispa chains.

The resulting top ten tells a clear story. The biggest names grew out of Kelantan, Terengganu and the Klang Valley's Malay-majority suburbs. They built dense networks of shoplot outlets that sell facials, acne treatment and hair care at entry prices, often well under RM100. For the doctor-led end of the market, see the highest-rated aesthetic clinics in KL and Selangor; for relaxation-first day spas, see the highest-rated spas in Kuala Lumpur. Frequently asked questions

What is the largest Muslimah spa or medispa chain in Malaysia in 2026?

Hannan Medispa is the largest, according to Malaysia's Top Ten, with 133 outlet listings on Google Maps captured on 24–25 September 2026. That includes 12 outlets branded "Hannan Medispa Muslimah". Sofea Medispa (46 listings), which calls itself a women-only "Spa Muslimah", is second, and Beylla Medispa (43) is third.

Which medispa chains in Malaysia are women-only?

Among the chains in Malaysia's Top Ten's 2026 ranking, Sofea Medispa, Seri Wajah Muslimah Facial Spa, Wahyuni Beauty & Muslimah Spa and Tini's Spa state women-only or Muslimah-exclusive service in their own channels. Hannan Medispa runs a separate Muslimah-branded outlet format. Policies can differ between branches, so confirm with the outlet before booking.

Which medispa chains in Malaysia use halal-certified skincare?

Estika Medispa's DERMESTIKA range and NARQES's own skincare ranges are listed in the JAKIM halal directory (captured 8 September 2026). Both chains are in Malaysia's Top Ten's 2026 ranking of Muslimah and Muslim-friendly medispa chains. You can check any product or company on JAKIM's official halal portal (myehalal.halal.gov.my).

What makes a spa "Muslimah-friendly" in Malaysia?

Usually a women-only space, female therapists, private treatment rooms and halal products. Malaysia's Top Ten qualifies a chain only if it states Muslimah or women-only service in its own outlet names, website or social accounts, or if its own skincare range is JAKIM halal-certified. Practices vary by outlet, so ask the branch about the arrangements that matter to you.

Is a medispa the same as an aesthetic clinic?

No. In Malaysia, medical aesthetic procedures such as injections must be done at a licensed clinic by a doctor approved for aesthetic practice. The Ministry of Health lists these doctors in its LCP registry. Many medispas offer non-invasive facials and beauty treatments only. If a treatment involves needles, lasers used for medical purposes or prescription products, ask who performs it and whether the premises is a registered clinic.

How this ranking was produced

  • Question: Which Muslimah or Muslim-friendly medispa and facial chains have the most outlets in Malaysia in 2026?
  • Metric (declared before counting): Outlet listings on Google Maps whose name carries the chain's brand, captured 24–25 September 2026 across 191 towns.
  • Qualification: At least three outlets offering facial or aesthetic treatments, plus at least one signal. (a) Muslimah, women-only or Muslim-friendly positioning stated in the chain's outlet names, official website or official social accounts. (b) The chain's own skincare range listed in the JAKIM halal directory (captured 8 September 2026).
  • Clean-up: We removed pins labelled HQ, head office or academy, retail counters, empty pins, pins outside Malaysia and duplicate pins.

Notable exclusions

Candidates considered but not ranked, and why:

  • Floles Medispa (19 listings), MBH Medispa / MBH Skin Expert (17) and Bitara Medispa (6) — Large Malay-market chains that did not meet either qualifying signal in the sources we checked. We found no Muslimah or women-only statement in their official channels and no JAKIM-listed own skincare range at capture. We will re-check at the next update.
  • Aafiyah Spa & Salon Muslimah (3 listings) — Qualifies on signal, but has fewer outlets than Tini's Spa.
  • Aurora Muslimah Salon & Spa and other single- or two-outlet Muslimah salons — Below the three-outlet minimum for a chain.
  • Massage, cupping (bekam) and postnatal-care spa chains — Out of scope. This ranking covers facial and aesthetic treatment chains.
  • Doctor-led aesthetic clinics — Out of scope here. See our largest aesthetic clinic and medispa chains ranking.

Limitations

Outlet counts are Google Maps listings, not audited branch numbers. Google Maps limits results per search, so the largest chains may be undercounted. Qualification rests on public statements and halal-directory records at capture. A chain may apply Muslimah practices without stating them online, and outlets within one chain may differ. Halal certification applies to specific products and certificate periods. Check the JAKIM portal for current status. We did not visit outlets. Nothing here is medical or religious advice.
